MUSIC DIRECTOR We are pleased to announce the appointment of Alexander Mason Organist and Master of Choristers at St Davids Cathedral as Principal Conductor and Director of Music of the Dyfed Choir with effect from 1st January 2008. The appointment follows the departure in the summer of 2007 of Timothy Noon to take up residence as Director of Music at the Metropolitan Cathedral, Liverpool. We count ourselves fortunate that St Davids Cathedral acts as a magnet attracting talented musicians to this outpost of the British Isles and Alexander Mason continues that tradition. He comes with an exceptional record of achievement, listed in full on the St Davids Cathedral website [full details] His first events in charge of the Dyfed Choir will be the Spring Concert at Rhos-y-Gilwen on 15th March 2008 and the Summer Concert at St Davids Cathedral on 19th July 2008. We look forward to a fruitful co-operation.
